Finally read Beautiful Creatures
I love that I can do half-stars here on Booklikes!
Pros:
* Witches! (Sorry, casters)
* Good v. Evil
* Male POV
Cons:
* Slooooooow start
* Details come very late in the book
I really like that though Ethan is the voice of the book, Lena is the badass. It's fun to see the opposite of what we usually see.
Overall, I enjoyed the novel, I just thought the beginning/up until they go to the movies is very slow -- from there the tension and action ratchets up. Also, I am willing to admit that my expectations may be clouded as I am a little late to the party when it comes to reading "Beautiful Creatures." After hearing so many friends rave about this book, I may have set unrealistic expectations.
