Hush Money (Talent Chronicles, #1)
This book falls back on two writing "tricks" I can't stand: 1) switching narrators every other chapter and 2) using cliff-hangers to build suspense. I agree with the reviews that say they wish the author would have followed the "show not tell" rule. I think that exploring some of the characters and emotions by really showing the reader what was happening would have allowed to author to remove some of the extraneous bits.That being said, it was a quick, enjoyable read!
